Who’s André?

André De Freitas is a critically acclaimed and award-winning comedian known for his sharp, personal comedy and global perspective. He has performed across Europe, the U.S., Dubai, and Australia — where he won Best International New Act at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

In 2023, André’s debut solo hour What If premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to critical acclaim, earning multiple 5-star reviews and a spot on The Telegraph’s list of the funniest jokes of the Fringe. The full special was released on YouTube in June 2025.

He is the co-creator and star of Comedy Therapy, a live show and podcast blending humor and mental health, which became a box office success and charted as the #3 podcast in Portugal.

André has opened for major international acts including Jim Gaffigan, Jim Jefferies, Alan Carr, Iliza Shlesinger, Russell Peters, TJ Miller, Sam Jay, and Morgan Jay, and has generated over 50 million views across social platforms.

He was featured in the BBC World Service Arts Hour Comedy Special (2024), and previously co-wrote and co-starred in a global ad campaign for Bybit alongside Formula 1 champions Max Verstappen and Sergio “Checo” Perez.
