It all started when…

André De Freitas is a critically acclaimed and award winning comedian who considers himself a world citizen. With a unique blend of hilarious comedy storytelling and an appeal to an international, multilingual audience he has has toured all over the globe, including multiple countries around Europe, USA, Dubai and Australia where he performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and picked up the “Best International New Act” Award.

In 2023 André returned to the UK to perform his solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His debut hour - ‘What If’ was critically acclaimed, having received a number of 5 star reviews and also made the list of the funniest jokes of the 2023 Fringe by The Telegraph.

André is also the creator and co-star of the popular phenomenon Comedy Therapy, a live format that brings together comedy and mental health. The live show was a box office success and became a podcast, quickly sky-rocketing to the number 3 podcast in Portugal.

In 2022, André was one of the online faces for crypto giant Bybit, where he got to co-write and co-star in a 4 part tutorial series with Oracle Red Bull Racing driver Sergio “Checo” Perez and Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen.

André has, so far, supported Jim Gaffigan, Jim Jefferies, Alan Carr, Russell Peters, TJ Miller, Iliza Shlesinger and Sam Jay on tour around the World.

André also counts with viral clips across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube that have amassed over 50 million views.
